Client complied with instruction, RBT provided tickles and said WAY TO GO!
Positive reinforcement
What is Differential Reinforcement of Other Behavior (DRO)?
A type of differential reinforcement where reinforcement is provided for the absence of a target behavior over a specific time.
What are the functions of behaviors?
Automatic, Escape, Attention, Access
You show a red card (SD) and say, “Touch red.” The child touches it and gets praise (reinforcement).
I want you to collect every instance a kid gets the correct answer which type of measurement do I want you to use?
Frequency/ event recording
This child does not like slime, but to get him to attend we put his finger in slime in order to increase his attending behavior
Negative Reinforcement
A child is flapping his arms in the hallway while transitioning and the RBT tells them to put their hands in their pocket
DRI
A child throws their toys whenever the teacher stops paying attention to them. The teacher implements planned ignoring and reinforces appropriate bids for attention.
Attention
What is NET
Role play NET with your team
Which one is not a continuous measurement:
latency, IRT, partial interval, frequency, duration
Partial interval
Rebecca is picking her nose and we have her wash her hands 10x in a row to decrease nose picking
Positive Punishment
A teacher gives a child a sticker for raising their hand instead of calling out, while ignoring the calling-out behavior.
DRA
A student frequently runs out of the classroom during difficult tasks. The teacher allows scheduled breaks when the student requests them appropriately
Escape
A child learns to say "hello" only when their teacher prompts them, but over time, the teacher fades the prompt until the child says "hello" independently when seeing someone.
Stimulus control transfer
A child screams the entire interval all of the time and you are tracking it every 30 minutes
Whole interval
Daniel likes spin chair and while on spin chair he spits. Spin chair was removed immediately after behavior occurred
Negative Punishment
A student engages in screaming during class. The teacher sets a timer, and if the student does not scream during the interval, they earn a token.
DRO
A child screams in the grocery store when they don’t get a candy bar. The parent remains neutral, does not provide the candy, and reinforces calm behavior.
what is shaping
A process where reinforcement is provided for closer and closer approximations to the desired behavior.
You count all of the holes in the wall at the end of the day to see how many things went wrong in the session
Permanent product
A child touches a hot stove and immediately pulls their hand away, making them less likely to touch it again in the future.
Name at least 6 of the Differential reinforcements
DRI, DRO, DRA, DRD, DRH, DRL
A child frequently engages in flopping to the floor when given non-preferred instructions. The therapist provides escape only when the child follows directions appropriately.
Escape
which task analysis is this
Im teaching all of the steps as needed
total task
RBT was running a program and did not provide any reinforcement for any response, what kind of data was the RBT collecting
Baseline data
