For every 30 minutes that Lennsey attends to writing treatment plans she can take 1 bite of her twix bar. She is on this type of reinforcement schedule.
What is a Fixed Interval Schedule of Reinforcement?
When walking into the office to audit notes Cassie screams "I don't want to audit these" and throws her laptop. Cassie's Laptop is now broken, and she gets a break from auditing notes until the laptop is fixed.
What is escape/avoidance?
While playing with blocks and cars Amelia removes access to cars, pulls out a deck of cards, presents and array and asks her client to point to the card that has a duck on it. The client points to the duck and Amelia provides access to the blocks and cars. Amelia is using this type of teaching.
What is Discrete Trial Training?
When Caleb yells to get Rachel's attention she does not acknowledge him. When he taps on her shoulder or says "Hey Rachel" she looks at him and gives him verbal praise for appropriately gaining her attention.

Before transitioning to a new activity, Abby tells her client "In 5 minutes we are going to go somewhere else". She is using this technique.
What is Priming?
Meredith is working on driving the speed limit. For around every minute that she drives the speed limit, she can take a sip from her Alani. She is on this schedule of reinforcement.
What is a Variable Interval Schedule of Reinforcement.
Andrew is trying to print the schedule out, but the printer is taking a long time. Andrew does a ritual chant to the printer and the paper comes out.

What is Natural Environment Teaching?
In a scene in The Notebook Allie is yelling and screaming at Noah. Noah kisses Allie and she is no longer able to scream at him because she can't scream and kiss him at the same time. Noah is using this type of differential reinforcement.

Jake has paired himself with his client by playing with them and ensuring all reinforcement comes through him. His client will now willingly follow his lead. He has successfully built this.

Skylar has a tendency to forget to grab her keys when leaving the house. Around every 3 times that she grabs her keys without reminders when leaving the house her husband gives her verbal praise. Skylar is on this type of reinforcement schedule.
What is a Variable Ratio Schedule?
When her friends are not talking to her Destiny jumps on the table and begins to dance. Her friends look at her and she smiles.
What is Attention Seeking?
Brittney has a timer set for every 15 minutes. At the end of each interval, she observes and records whether or not Caleb is singing a song. Brittney is using this type of measurement.
What is Momentary Time Sampling?
Luke, a local diner owner in Stars Hollow", believes that his customer and soulmate Lorelai drinks way too much coffee and should have some variety in her beverages. Any time Lorelai orders any drink that is not coffee Luke allows her to break his no cell phone rule for the day.

Transitions are known to be challenging to Lennsey if she does not know what is expected of her. Before transitioning Lennsey, her RBT used images to communicate what was expected of Lennsey in the near future. Use of this antecedent strategy increased the likelihood of Lennsey completing the transition independently without maladaptive behaviors.

When Amelia's therapist Skylar asks her to sit in her chair Amelia says, "I don't want to" and throws the chair across the room while grinning and making eye contact. Skylar removes verbal prompts and eye contact but continues to point to the chair. Amelia sits in the chair.
