At drop off, your client's mom says that you are her child's favorite therapist and presents you with a $20 gift card for your birthday. How should you respond?

Session notes should not include any opinion-based statements. All session notes should be written objectively.

"The client was motivated by singing, coloring, and using a weighted blanket. The function of the behavior is missing, as well as the interventions used.
A client is engaging in an independent leisure activity for 3 minutes. You give them the instruction "Let's clean up". It takes 15 seconds from the time the instruction is given for the client to start cleaning up. It takes the client 30 seconds to clean up their activity.
What is the latency in the above example?
15 seconds. The time from the instruction being given to when the client follows through.

A BCBA asks you to implement an intervention that you've never heard of and have no experience with. What should you do?
RBTs do not use unfamiliar interventions or provide services to unfamiliar client populations unless they have received proper training.
You should let the BCBA know that you are not prepared to implement the intervention, and ask for further training before you implement.

What should you do if your Rethink crashes and deletes all of your data?
Do not try and "guess" what your data was, as this can lead to inaccurate data. If you recall something with 100% certainty (the client engaged in 2 elopements and you are 100% certain this data is correct), you can input that.
