How do we play with jump ropes?
Jumping! We cannot run with jump ropes. We cannot tie things with the jump ropes. We can only jump with them.
I hear the fire alarm. What do I do?
Leave all your stuff. Get in line. Walk out with a teacher.
What kind of voice level should we have in the hallway?
Level 0. No voice.
I need to use the bathroom. How do I ask?

Keep it in my pencil case. I can use another one of my pencils.
Can I scream outside?
No way! People around you might think that there is an emergency. Screaming is for certain emergencies only.
We are outside because of the fire alarm. My friends and I are cold. We are laughing about how cold we are. What's wrong with what we are doing?
Even if it's a drill, our voices need to be off. Sometimes the teachers don't know if it's real or not.
Can I touch the wall or art work in the hallway?

My friend and I were playing outside. We all climbed up the slide to get away. We got in trouble, but I don't know why...
You need to go up the stairs and down the slide only. You can't climb the slide.
Someone came on the loud speaker and said we need to use our ALICE training. What should we do?
Listen to your teacher. Either lockdown/counter or evacuate.
I see a friend in the hallway. How can I tell them hi?

Tell Ms. Hasse when you get to the classroom or a teacher if one is outside the bathroom.
1) Mention it to them when the teacher isn't teaching or giving directions.
2) Let the teacher when they aren't teaching or giving directions.
I was building a sand castle with a friend. We got a little silly and started throwing sand at each other. What's wrong with this?
Sand, dirt, and snow stay on the ground. It could really hurt someone if we throw it. Even if we didn't mean to hurt someone, we could get into a lot of trouble.
Sometimes I hear the tornado alarm. Should I panic?
Nope! Baraboo tests the alarm once a month on Wednesdays.
I am going to the bathroom. My teacher said to be quick. Can I run down the hallway?
No. Walk quickly, do your job, and walk quickly back.
I just came back from the bathroom and knocked on the door. I want to be funny. Should I hide? Keep knocking? Hold the door closed? Scare them?
None of those. When the door opens, you walk in quietly, move your magnet, and get back to work.
We are at the carpet. I really want to sit next to my friends. Should I?
Only if you are going to do your job the whole time without being distracted. If you can't do your job next to them, you need to make a better decision.
I want to play tag with my friends, but sometimes we grab each other. The teacher keeps stopping us. Why?
I am in the bathroom alone and I hear an alarm. What do I do?
Walk out of the bathroom. If you can't see your class nearby, go with the class near you out the door. Tell a teacher who you're classroom teacher is.
Do your job. Leave other people's items alone and leave the kids alone.
When is a good time to ask to go to the bathroom?
1) Morning meeting/transition time
2) When Ms. Hasse is not giving directions/reading/explaining something
3) NOT a good time to ask when someone else asks
