What is when there is a negative sign on the outside of the absolute value brackets. Example: -|-4| = -4 or -|5| = -5
You multiply by a negative number on the outside.
Why is absolute value always positive?
What is because it's only telling how far the number is away from the zero on the number line.
Distance is always positive!
