Clarify that you are not able to speak to anyone elses private information, and let the student know that you can send her a SIRF form and that any other student would need the also need it filled out, if they wish to speak to you together or release any personal information.
When sending a student to secondary, an error pops up that there is no counselor assigned. What do you do?

What is the average cost of GCU student health insurance?
This will fluctuate with the length of the term/length of coverage, but it averages about $1000.00 per term. The spring term is generally the longest, so that can be closer to $1800/$2000.
You are mid conversation with a student and notice that someone else is on the line, what do you do?
First, ask if anyone else is on the call with you. If the student says no, continue with your conversation or ask to call back another time.
If the student says yes, you need to first verify they have a SIRF on file. If they dont, let them know that you dont have permission to continue but that you can ask the SSC to send them a SIRF to fill out so that you can speak openly with whoever they designate is permitted.
If they DO have a SIRF on file, you would want to confirm that person is on the SIRF, and then verify the PIN that they should have before continuing.
A student transferred in CHM-101 and CHM-101L from a Community College. They are looking to boost their PreRec GPA and the AIR tool calculation says they only need to take the Lecture from their current C to an A. What do you do?
Recommend the student retake the Lecture and Lab. There is a high chance that the course they transferred in was taken as 1 class, and unless you can confirm it is two seperate courses, recommending only the lecture would result in a credit absorbtion when the new course is accepted.
What does the word "DUPE" indicate in the AIR tool?
That the Lecture and Lab were taken as one course.
You see your student is scheduled to finish PreRec courses 1 week before secondary deadline, but insists that they need to start this semester at Chandler. What do you do?
1. Explain the situation to the student
2. Suggest they move their courses up, or take them earlier at an alternative transfer option. (study/sophia)
3. Suggest other sites with availability (Relo MOU)
4. Clarify they have denied both options and thoroughly explain the Alt list and possibility of rolling
#'s 2 & 3 are reversible, depending on context and student situation.
How is the Relo MOU dispursed?
$500/month at the beginning of the month, except for the first month which is dispursed with month two.
EX.
Jan 6th start date.
Feb 3rd - $1000
Mar 3rd - $500
Apr 1st - $500
and so on through the last month of Core.
A student provides an email address that is different than what he/she has on file with GCU. What would be an acceptable reply by the employee in this situation?
“Is there another email address you may have provided to us?”
▪ If student correctly answers, then it is counted as one of the 3 required answers
▪ If the student can not remember, it is OK to provide another FERPA ID question until a total of 3 are answered correctly
▪ It is not OK to tell the student, “Do you have a gmail account that you might have provided to GCU?”
