The MODE button takes you to a menu where you can switch between them. You want RADIAN mode for graphing trig functions or questions where the answer should be in radians. You want DEGREE more everything else. DEGREE mode should be the default!

In many subject-verb questions like this, look for the "odd item out." Three of the answers will usually be plural and one will be singular, OR three will be singular and one plural. The answer is quite often the unique one.

Whom. You would say "I love HIM very much" not "I love HE very much." When you can substitute "him", use "whom".

Commas are correct. His name is NOT essential, because as soon as we say "the first President of the United States", we already know who we are talking about without needing his name. There is only one person who this could possibly be about.

This is a misplaced modifer question. The JURORS are the ones who heard the facts, so we want the JURORS right after that part of the sentence. Saying something like:
"After listening to the facts presented by the defense, doubt vanished from the jurors' minds about the defendant's innocence."
makes it sound like the DOUBT was what heard the facts.
