What is the first thing you should read from the passage?
Title
For each question, what should you do first?
Read the question and all of the answer choices
What should you read to answer questions about main idea, main purpose, or central idea? Fiction text? Nonfiction text?
fiction-title and first sentence of each paragraph
nonfiction-last sentence of 1st paragraph and first sentence of the remaining paragraphs

flag it and/or skip it
