A feature used to adjust the overall volume of an audio clip and/or normalize peaks within the audio clip.
Audio Gain
A cut that extends an audio clip from a preceding video clip to a subsequent video clip.
L-Cut
A for-profit use of a work.
Commercial Use
The act of going to each location of a shoot to look over factors for the shoot, such as parking, availability, and power capabilities.
Location Scouting
Also known as a hero shot, a shot taken at the end of a scene.
Closing Shot
Typical background noise when filming in a location.

The act of editing through adding video and/or audio to an overall timeline.

A task in which videos are selected and then added according to a sorted setting, such as the order in which they were selected.

The reproduction of sound effects used within a video project.
Foley Sound
A consideration for design in which a video clip is made easier for those who are vision-impaired to view it and/or for those who are hearing-impaired to use closed captions or similar means for viewing the video.
Accessibility
A type of license which gives others permissions to share, use, or add to a created work.
Creative Commons
A common video format used for MP4 files and often played on websites such as YouTube and other media websites.
