Only when professors say that an assignment is group project.

You should speak with your professor to gain clarity and feedback on the grade.

What office handles academic dishonesty cases?
Your professors notify the Student Conduct Office who handles cases of academic dishonesty. Advisors do not get involved in this process.
Who is responsible for purchasing books for each course during the term as well as a laptop?
You as the student are responsible for purchasing these items. They are required for your success and coursework as a student.
