What is: The Transfer Credit Report.

How do I drop a minor?
What is: The student must go to the Admissions Office on the 2nd Floor of Salazar and fill out an “Add/Drop Major/Minor” Form to turn back into the same office. No signature by an Advisor or Professor should be necessary.

How do you check how many total units you've completed?
What is: Either your unofficial transcript or your ARR. In your unofficial transcript, you can see completed units at the bottom of the most recent term. In your ARR, you can see how many total units you have completed, but the total INCLUDES the number of units you are currently enrolled in.

How do I swap a class?
What is: The swap option is located within the subcategories under “Enroll” and can used to safely drop a class while simultaneously adding you to another. You can also use this feature to set up a conditional swap where you select a class you’re enrolled in and a class you wish to waitlist. If in the instance you get off the waitlist you will automatically be “swapped” into your waitlisted class and dropped from your selected course.

I want to declare an impacted major, where do I go?
What is" Go to the major department and speak with an advisor about trying to get into the major and the requirements they may have and the application process. For impacted majors it is more than just getting a signature and sending the form over to A&R.

My Transcript shows a W for a course, what is that?
What is: W stands for a “Withdrawal.” ...If a student does not drop a class before the Withdrawal Deadline (within the first two weeks of the semester) they will receive a W on their transcript. This does not affect their GPA.

What’s the difference between a W and a WU?
What is" A “WU” is an unofficial withdraw where a student did not drop a course, but stopped attending class. This is the equivalent of an “F”.

If a student currently has 15 units, then withdrawals from a 4 unit course, how might having only 11 units affect them?
What is: To be considered a full-time student, you must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 units. To receive Financial Aid, you must be considered a full-time student. Bonus: To live on campus, you must be enrolled in at least 9 units.

What is: The only way to stop a swap function is to disenroll/drop from the waitlisted class.

I have 120 units; why can’t I graduate?
What is: You either have not applied for graduation or you have not completed all the specific academic requirements listed on your ARR. The 120 units is the CSU minimum. Often times students will surpass the 120 without completing their GE’s or major requirements. Without those done, they cannot receive a diploma.

When can I take upper division courses?
What is: You can take upper division courses at any time, but to receive upper division credit you must be at, or within the semester you reach, 60 units.

What is academic probation and disqualification?
What is: Academic Probation occurs when a student drops below the minimum GPA requirement. They have one semester to raise their GPA before they are academically disqualified. Academic Disqualification requires students to take at least one semester of leave and raise their GPA through transferable college level courses. What is: You may take a maximum of 24 units for CR/NC. Bonus: CR is representative of a C- or better for UGRD coursework and a B- or better for PBAC coursework.

Explain the Conditional Swap process:
What is: Regular swapping is where you trade one enrolled course for another open course. Conditional swapping is where you tentatively trade one enrolled course for another waitlisted course. In regular swapping, the trade is immediate. In conditional swapping, the trade only occurs if/when you move off the waitlist on the second course. To set a conditional swap up, find the course you want (it will be full), when adding it to your shopping cart, check the "waitlist if class if full" box, then, once it is sitting in your shopping cart, go to the swap tab, select the course you are enrolled in that you wish to trade, then select the course you wish to be enrolled in from your shopping cart, and proceed.

Can I retake GE courses?
What is: Yes, but...some GE courses will not allow repeats at SSU (check non-repeatable classes document). Students can take those that cannot be repeated at a JC and transfer the grade over to have it replace their previous grade. Bonus: can you list at least two courses that are not repeatable?
