WHO is the "customer" in the Agile Manifesto's value: "Customer collaboration over contract negotiation" in the ECF?

The TAO is the "customer" for ECF EPICs.

To the extent the TAO is accessible, involved and responsive to a POD's questions and collaboration, it will reflect positively on the PODs solution and its ability to deliver within the requested timeline.

100

What principles are not followed in is this scenario?

One POD working on multiple EPICS with sub-teams and ceremonies by EPIC.

Business people and technology SMEs must work together daily throughout the project.

Build projects around motivated individuals. Give them the environment and support they need, and trust them to get the job done.

100

What types of waste is this scenario showing?

POD work is delayed due to dependencies with external processes (BTRA, PIA, SIP) and/or external vendors.

Waiting - Time lost when people, material, or systems are waiting.

Excess Processing - is a sign of a poorly designed process.

HOW is the Agile Manifesto's value: "Responding to change over following a plan" reflected in the ECF?

Product Groups and their Pod teams are encouraged to proactively review their PI Plans against actual progress, escalate risks and issues.

Think if this actually happening?

200

What principles are not followed in this scenario?

Over-emphasis on delivery, causes teams not to have the time or space to test different approaches and identify the best way to deliver.

Agile processes promote sustainable development. The sponsors, PODs (developers), and users should be able to maintain a constant pace indefinitely.

Pursue Perfection – Continuous Improvement.

200

What principle is not followed in this scenario?

Large variances in agile understanding and experience. SM, RTE, TDL/TAO, have no agile-role-based training.

Build projects around motivated individuals. Give them the environment and support they need, and trust them to get the job done.

300

What does "delivering value to the customer" mean in the agile context?

It means that we have delivered some incremental utility/value (eg delivered DEV) that the customer can use and objectively evaluate.

300

What principles are not reflected in this scenario? RIP sprint not fully utilized for its original purpose: buffer, innovation, education, planning and inspect & adapt.

At regular intervals, the team reflects on how to become more effective, then tunes and adjusts its behavior accordingly.

Pursue Perfection – Continuous Improvement

Provide time and space for people to be creative to enable purposeful innovation. This can rarely occur in the presence of 100 percent utilization and daily firefighting.

300

How should work move between stations in a workflow when applying LEAN?

Each piece of work should be PULLED and not PUSHED to the next process stage.

SMs are running the DSU ceremonies, updating tasks, adding comments and moving tasks on the board.

POD members need to own their tasks.

400

What Principle is not being applied in this scenario?

Some team members are only 25% allocated to the team.

Build projects around motivated individuals. Give them the environment and support they need, and trust them to get the job done.

What can we do to improve on this in ECF?

500

Which Agile Principle is not being followed?

Product Owners don't attend many Team meetings

Business people and delivery teams must work together daily throughout the project.
