What is the difference between an IPCOT and an Extension?
An IPCOT is a request to stay at your current duty location past your current Assignment length in an overseas location. An Extension has to do with your contract with the government and the time you've committed to being active duty.

What are CLEPs/Dantes?
CLEPs/Dantes are an alternative option to taking online or brick and mortar college classes for college credits. It's a test out option.

You will be sent an email from AFPC a year out from your projected DEROS asking you what you want to do.
What if I get approval to move out of the dorms but I don’t have first months rent saved up?
You can get Advance Basic Allowance for Housing from Finance, Finance will then collect that amount from your paycheck until it is completely paid off
Where can I sign up for CLEPs?
You may schedule the test with the Education Office. Also, you can get CLEP or DANTES test material at the base library to study prior to your test. The education Office now closes at noon everyday so keep that in mind.
In what case(s) will my leadership be notified if I do seek help from mental health?
Your chain of command will only be notified if you are suicidal or plan on hurting someone else.
If I get an Article 15 is my career over?
No

On vMPF > Self-Service Actions > Assignments > Assignment Preferences (EAP)
Will I get paid if the government cannot agree on the fiscal budget?
No you will not be paid, USAA and Navy Federal will still pay you as a "loan" that you will need to pay back at a later time. (Check with those banks for more information)
I want to take college classes, will the government pay for them?
Yes, you are allotted $4,500 a year.
Can I receive counseling from someone unrelated to the military?
Yes, you may be able to get a referral to see a provider from off base.
If I get a ticket off base do I need to notify my chain of command?
Yes! Notify your Supervisor.

What happens if I owe the AF money?
Finance will collect that amount back during a set amount of months against your paycheck
How do I get the government to pay for my classes?
Schedule a time to speak with your supervisor, they will be the one approving or denying your request for TA. Also if you are in OJT, or have failed a PT test and have not yet passed one odds are they will deny your request to take college classes.
Is there a place I can take classes separate from mental health to better myself?
Yes, The Military and Family Support Center offer a variety of classes on Conflict Resolution, Interpersonal Skills, Healthy Relationships ect.
If I get arrested off base do I need to notify my chain of command?
Yes! Notify your supervisor!

Every career field has a SharePoint where the functional should be uploading a spreadsheet with the open bases, billets filled and open billets. Get with your supervisor to help you find your AFSC SharePoint page.
