Pull sideways and push against pommel and cantle and any movement means the tree is broken.

Riding gloves prevent blisters, help hold reins when they are wet, and with thick gloves, help keep your hands warm in the winter.

A soft, washable fleece cover that fits over the girth to protect the pony's skin.

Make sure it is neat and tidy! Long hair should be braided, done up in a bun, or put up under the helmet. Medium length hair may be put in a hair net.

Hair should never effect the fit of your helmet and should not be in your eyes or cover your number.

How do you know a snaffle bit fits? (3 ways)

It must rest high in his mouth so he cannot get his tongue over it and it must make one or two gentle wrinkles at the corners of the pony's mouth, like a smile and there must be 1/8 to 1/4 inch space on either side of the mouth.
