Natural resources are materials taken from the earth and turned into products that can be used by humans. EX: Oil and gas, fossil fuels, agriculture, forestry, water, minerals and alternative energy.

Vegetation- Because of the weather and rocky terrain, only certain plants will grow in this region, including many coniferous trees.

The more north or south I go the colder the climate. 

The more I travel towards the equator, the hotter it gets.

Good: Many Albertans work in fossil fuels, it provides energy, it helps create many products (make up, plastics) etc.

Bad: Hurts the environment/animals, it is a nonrenewable resource so we will eventually run out, tailing ponds are toxic, etc.

City/town- Medicine Hat and Drumheller

Vegetation- There are many grasses, shrubs, and herbs. Much of the land here is cropland.

Animals- rattlesnake and the pronghorn antelope.

National and Provincial Parks are very important to Alberta. Name one National/Provincial Park and give me 2 reasons of why they are so important. 

Jasper, Banff, Waterton Lakes, Elk Island National, etc. 

These parks exist to protect landscapes as well as wildlife. Sometimes these parks serve to protect historically significant sites, such as with Dinosaur Provincial Park. Many scientists work out of these parks doing research on different species of plants and animals.
