While it is not illegal to refuse a breathalyzer/urine/blood test in Connecticut, the refusal will lead to more severe consequences. If you refuse to take the tests, a first offense will result in a 1 year suspension. Refusal upon a second offense will result in a license suspension of 2 years, and refusal upon a third incident will result in a three year license suspension.
