A Teoria de Resposta ao Item (TRI) é o modelo estatístico do Enem que calcula a nota com base na coerência pedagógica, dificuldade das questões e "chutes". Diferente da soma simples, ela valoriza o acerto de itens fáceis e penaliza o acerto de difíceis quando fáceis são erradas, avaliando três parâmetros: dificuldade, discriminação e acerto casual (chute).
