To select a book and scan it so I can take it out of the library to read in class or at home.

What should I refrain from doing while reading my library book?
Eating & drinking.
Can I renew a book if I'm not done with it in 2 weeks?
Yes, as long as no one has placed the book on hold.
Can I bring my Chromebook to library?
To take an AR test or search for a new book in Destiny Discover.
What is "renew?"
If you're not finished with your book at the end of 2 weeks, you would "renew" the book, extending the amount of time you have it.
What voice level should we use when entering the library?
Zero
How should I transport my library books from school to home?
In my backpack, safely away from my water bottle.
Where should I put books that I removed from the shelf but decided not to get and can't remember where they go?
In the Go Back Cart.
When can we visit the ROARS store?
This is not done during library time anymore. Talk to your teacher about when they will make it available to you.

Why shouldn't I let other people borrow my books?
The book is checked out in your name and it is your responsibility. If something happens to the book while someone else has it, you will be responsible for paying for it.
What if the book I want to read next is checked out?
Have Mrs. Anderson place it on hold for you and select something else.
What are the genres of fiction the library is organized by?
Fantasy, Mystery, Science Fiction, Realistic Fiction, Historical Fiction.
How is the fiction section of the library now organized?
By "genre."
Where can I sit? (3 options, must get 2 correct)
The rug, the benches or the high chairs.
What should I keep my book away from?
Pets, small children, and water.
What do I do if I forgot my books and can't check out new ones?
Select a picture book to read.
How are the graphic novels organized?
Alphabetical order by series name.
What is placing a book on "hold" mean?
Reserving a book which can be done to a book that is currently available OR one that is currently checked out by someone else.
