I look like a dog, but I have a bush tail and my fur colour could be red, brown, or grey.
A fox
During the Fall I eat as much food as possible for me to crawl into a big hole hidden away. I have thick brown fur and four legs. Don't get too close to me as I can have a mean temper.
Bear
You put on a Winter jacket, but for us animals something happens with my Fur!
It gets thicker, we call it a "Winter coat"
I waddle around on icebergs and am white and black.
A penguin!
You might step in one of my holes in your school's playground in the Summer. In the Winter I hide away and sleep until it is Spring and I can pop my head up!
Gopher
To help them hide from predators. White fur in the Winter helps them blend in with the snow. Brown fur in the Summer helps them hide in the trees.
The colour of my fur changes from brown in the summer to white in the winter. You may see me hopping around your parks.
A rabbit.
Bzzz, I put a stop to making honey and curl up tight with my colony to keep our queen warm until the Summer.
Bees
Do you know why fish are able to survive in the freezing cold lakes? Hint, something to do with their blood.
Because they are cold blooded!
I have four feet and live where there is lots of icebergs.. you may say my cousin is the black bear!
Polar bear
Better keep those peanuts away in the Fall. I will collect as much as I can and store them within the tree where I will wait until the Winter is over.
Squirrels.
What part of seals, whales, and walrus's helps keep them warm when swimming in the freezing cold waters in the Arctic?
Blubber
I sleep in the day and fly around at night looking for food. I can almost turn my head all the way around my body *whoo whoo*.
A snowy owl
You may see me hopping around near a lake or swimming in water. Some say i'm gross and slimy but *ribbit* I think i'm pretty cool!
A frog
If an animal does not want to stay here for the winter, what do they do? Where would they go?
Migrate.. fly to somewhere warm.
