Phi Mu Foundation is the philanthropic, educational, and fundraising arm of the fraternity. The foundation awards over $100,000 in scholarships each year and assists collegiate chapters in fundraising for CMN.

At the time, women were not allowed in Greek organizations because they were reserved for men. Women could only belong to literary societies and debate clubs.
