Based upon the region, answers will be different. Examples: Eastern Woodlands/Plains people hunted and occasionally farmed. They used wood or animal skins for housing. People of the Southwest used clay for housing and planted gardens for food. People of the Northwest Coast fished for a lot of food and used ice for their housing.

American Indians were forced to move west of the Mississippi River. Many of the natural resources were taken away from American Indians. There was a lot of violence between American Indians and Europeans because they were fighting over land and resources.
