George Washington

This battle was known as the turning point of the American Revolution because after the patriots won this battle they were able to win allies, like the French and Spanish.

This was the name given to refer to any colonist who fought for Independence during the American Revolution. Today it refers to any person who loves their country and fights for their interests.

This was the final battle of the American Revolution fought in the fall of 1781. The British surrender at this battle led to the end of British rule in the colonies.
Battle of Yorktown
This document signed on Sept. 3, 1783 between the American colonies and Great Britain ended the American Revolution and formally recognized the United States as a new nation.
Treaty of Paris
These were the 3 patriots who rode on the evening of April 18, 1773 alarming the minutemen that the British were coming to seize the militia's store of ammunition and weapons in Concord.
Paul Revere, William Dawes, Dr. Samuel Prescott
