Know the Expectations
You are excited to see your friend across the center. How should you get to them?

Your friend takes something you wanted. Can you push them, kick them, or throw something at them?
No. Keep your hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
You are waiting near the cubbies or by Let's Play. Can you sit, climb, hang, or play on the railing?
No. Keep your feet on the floor and stay off the railing.
You want to go into an area, but there is no teacher there. Can you go inside and wait?
No. Stay in a supervised area and wait for a teacher.
Name THREE places you need to ask your teacher before leaving your area to go to.
Bathroom, cubby, get a drink of water, or another program area.
Your friend is not around. Can you look inside their cubby or take something out of it?

Line up at the feet and wait your turn.
You are finished with a game or puzzle. What should you check before putting it away?
Make sure all the pieces are there and put everything back where it belongs.
Your teacher asks you to stop doing something, but you do not want to stop. What should you do?
Stop and follow your teacher's direction.
You and your friend are pushing each other and say, “We're just playing!” Is that okay?

Your group is called for snack, but you want to stay behind. Can you stay and go to snack later by yourself?
No. Go to snack with your group and teacher.
The area you want is full. Can you move another child's magnet or tag to make room for yourself?

Center equipment is for everyone. We need to take care of it so everyone can use it.

No. Stay with your teacher and group. Ask your teacher before leaving.
You are in Smartsville and want to switch to Let's Play. Tell us ALL the steps you need to do, in order.
Clean up → Ask permission → Wait at the feet → Move YOUR magnet → Get YOUR tag from the old area → Wash your hands →Hand your tag directly to the teacher in the new area.
