What is Tricology

What is active infection
The hair follicle, hair shaft, the arrector pili muscle, and the sebaceous gland
what is the pilosebaceous unit
This phase is the transition phase, and the hair, having completed its growing phase, detaches from the dermal papilla.
What is Catagen Phase
This wax does not adhere to the skin, so it causes less irritation.
What is Hard Wax
Electrolysis, laser hair removal, and intense pulsed light.
What is permanent hair removal and reduction
The visual signs for this skin disease are an itchy rash and small vesicles
What is eczema
Anchors the hair to the skin cells and is part of the hair located at the bottom of the follicle below the surface of the skin.
What is the Hair Root
Excessive growth of terminal hair in areas of the body that normally grow only vellus hair (lower back, eyelids, abdomen).
What is Hypertrichosis
When using this wax, the area cannot be re-waxed during the service.
What is Soft Wax
The process of removing hair from the bottom of the follicle involves breaking the contact between the bulb and the papilla.

Excessive hair growth on the face, chest, underarms, and groin, especially in women.

In preparation for this wax, cleanse, powder, and place a muslin or Pellon strip over the area.
What is Soft Wax
The process of removing hair at or near the level of the skin.

Acne grade 3, acne grade 4, and acne excoriee
What are sebaceous gland disorders
This hair is longer, coarse hair found on the head, brows, lashes, genitals, arms, and legs.
What is Terminal Hair
This hair is soft downy hair found on a fetus.
What is Lanugo Hair
This technique utilizes the wax that has built up on the muslin or pellon strip to remove more avious hairs.
What is Blending (with hard wax, the hair cannot be blended)
A painless method of hair removal that dissolves the hair at skin level
What is a chemical depilatory
This medication can cause skin to blister or peel; avoid peeling/drying agents such as AHAs, scrubs, microdermabrasion, and rotating brushes
