The farmer's job was a lot harder compared to the pharaoh's job, farmers had to work long hours outside in the hot desert sun. There job depended on the nile flooding, if the Nile didn't flood there was a real risk of famine.

Daily life in ancient egypt differed depending on how rich or poor someone was and how much power they held in society. The pharaoh and other wealthy people led lives that were very different from those of farmers and laborers.
