A. Slaves did a variety of job including city clerks, tutoring children, some worked as farmers, and other worked in mines deep underground. Women were not allowed to be citizens, very few of them had jobs, they could not choose their own husband, and were in charge of the home.

B.  Slaves in Athens could pass down their last name, marry who they wanted, and even power their own freedom.  The Athenian gov't from time to time would kill the strongest slaves to prevent rebellions.  Women had mostly the same rights as men, could own land and businesses, choose their own husbands, and speak with their husband's friends unsupervised.
