Merchants today deal with large corporations, which did not exist during Ancient Greece. The product merchants sold in Ancient Greece was generally hand made as well and today items are generally made by machine. Trade is also easier since we have more ways to travel and communicate.

Monarchy was the first system of government. Decisions were made quickly as their was only one person in power, the King also tried to help his people. The downside is that only one voice was being heard and his decisions may not be well liked.

Our land is not as rocky and mountainous. We have flat land that allow us to grow apple trees, corn, beans, etc. We have more opportunities to grow a variety of crops.

In modern day Canada we have equal rights and the chance for our voices to be heard. If we are a part of the lowest social group, we still are able to own land and make money. People are also generally treated better today.

Males were allowed to go to school to learn how to read and write, and study math and science. Females were taught at home how to take care of a house and family. It was very rare that a girl went to school.

How might the lives of a slave differ from that of an athlete?
Slaves are treated poorly, and expected to do a lot work. Athlete's are also expected to do a lot of work, but their work is training for games. Athlete's also have the chance to win free food for winning in the Olympic games, whereas slaves are lucky to get any food at all.

Today, citizens of Canada are allowed to vote no matter what gender you are. The main stipulation is that you are of legal age to vote, which is 18.
