Why did the Greeks have stories, called “myths” for the Gods?
The Greek word mythology refers to the traditional stories told about the gods and goddesses and about how their behaviour affected humans. Myths often tell a story of how something in the natural world came to be, such as how the reasons for the seasons. (Demeter and Persphone). Sometimes myths also try to teach people what is right and wrong.
