They are used to get a variable alone on one side of the equation/inequality.
When knowing what a variable is equal to, plugging in the number surrounded by parentheses.
y=3, plug in (3) wherever there is a y
If my focus is money, making 9 dollars an hour for 9 hours, or making 8 bucks an hour for 10 hours?
$9 an hour for 9 hours ($81) versus ($80)
This is the definition of perimeter.
The total distance around a shape
Write an equation to represent, and solve:
Mr. Schempf spent a total of 12 hours on his phone this past weekend. This is triple the normal.
