This council helps to improve patient education materials, and also owns the clinical ladder. This year it plans to continue improving on it's projects.

This group reviews multidisciplinary studies throughout the hospital, as well as provides guidance/support to those involved in studies and EBP activities.

This Council held the first "Fall Symposium" in December, surveyed staff about fall causes, and has created education about fall prevention that will go hospital wide next term!

This group has spearheaded projects such as "STOP BANG", added the code status to the banner bar, hourly rounding x1 at end of shift, and updates all Policies and Procedures to meet evidence based standards.

This group measures/ensures the hospital meets benchmarks on nursing-sensitive indicators at NKCH.

This Magnet Component requires the organization's senior leadership team to create the vision for the future, and the systems and environment necessary to achieve that vision. They must enlighten the organization as to why change is necessary, and communicate each department's part in achieving that change. They must listen, challenge, influence, and affirm as the organization makes its way into the future.
