What is anxiety?
Anxiety is when we are concerned that something bad may happen, or we think that something will go wrong. Most of the time, anxiety causes us to worry or be nervous about things that other people may find easy to do or "not a big deal".

What does our body do when we are worried?
We might stop talking, or get sweaty and nervous, or our stomach might hurt. We also might feel like we need to run away or hide from the thing or person that is making us worried.

Is anxiety anything to be afraid of?
No! Even though it may feel like it, anxiety is just a feeling, like sadness, happiness, excitement, or sillyness. These feelings cannot hurt us.
