Sarah is a track and field athlete. She typically runs 400m races and places in the top 3. She began bickering with a teammate of hers who usually aces 800m races. Sensing the tension between the two athletes, the other contentious teammates pitted them against each other. Sarah, in her pride, was overly confident in her abilities and boasted that she would win. Sarah lost the race.
1) We have to stay in the race set for us by God.

"I am on my way to my therapist. I always see him but I have to be more consistent before big events. He coaches me, we release any anxiety, and he works with me to develop resilience, mental toughness and the ability to perform under pressure," Amaya told her teammates.
What we intake is what we produce. Amaya takes great heed to her mental position close to competition as she knows that her mind will affect her body/performance.
Similarly, our mentality on this race is important. We need to recognize the importance of being mindful of what we consume. We need to be consistent in spending time with the Word as the Word increases our faith and creates a positive, strong mind environment.
Proverbs 4:23 KJV -"Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life."
Romans 12:2 KJV- "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.
