Explain Shay's Rebellion

Farmers took out a loan to purchase grain, to provide food for soldiers in the war. The war ended, and the farmers were left with all this grain. Farmers were not able to sell their grain, which meant they could not pay their debts, on top of state taxes. Failure to make payments resulted in imprisonment.
