What is a nation?
This organization regulates the supply of oil for most of the world

This is a form of political influence where the mother country establishes a favorable balance of trade through land conquest abroad

One that is forced upon a people by an outside force without regard to culture or ethnic groups (Africans with the Berlin Conference,…)
What is a superimposed boundary?
This is 200 miles off of the coast of a state in which that state can explore and extract resources
What is an exclusive economic zone (EEZ)?
The Tibetans, Basque, and Palestinians are examples of these.
What is stateless nation?
This is a military organization where attack against one of the 29 members is an attack against all
What is NATO?
This is a form of political conquest typically by MDC's over LDC's during the time period of industrialization to the Second World War.
What is Imperialism?
One that ceases to exist with its original purpose
What is a relic boundary?
This the maritme boundary within 12 nautical miles of coastline
What is a territorial waters?
Denmark, Iceland, and Finland are examples of these.
What is a nation-state?
This organization created a common government and currency and citizenship amongst its members on their continent at the end of WWII, and has open boarders and trade.
What is the EU?
Many countries sought this after WWII, specifically in the Continent in Africa, and was aided by the United Nations.
What is democratization/self-determination?
Vatican City, San Marino and Lesotho are all examples of this type of border.
What is an enclave?
This splits the difference between EEZ's and/or waters in disputed maritime boundaries
What is Median-line principle?
Nigeria, Brazil, India, and Russia are examples of these?
What is a multinational state?
This organization specifically eliminates trade barriers for members on their continent in the western hemisphere.
What is NAFTA?
Currently Ukraine is seeing its sovereignty challenged by the state of Russia. Ukraine's insistence on its culture and people's history tied to their land and state is an example of this.

This type of boundary is offered in written form, typically in a sentence/paragraph in a treaty.
