The Safavids were not tolerant of the Sunni Muslims. Because they were outnumbered by the Sunnis, the Safavids had to reevaluate their religious tolerance in order to claim more land. Sha Abbas helped the Safavids reach peak power when they claimed most of Iraq and Iran.

The primary difference between them is that conquistadors are only traveling with taking people and land in mind. Explorers are only traveling to expand knowledge and discover new lands and people. Colombus, for example, was traveling to find new land while Hernan Cortes was traveling to take over the land and the people.

The colonists felt like they were being exploited because of mercantilism and the outrageous taxes. The colonists had no representation n the government because they were an ocean away from England. Because of all this, property became very very expensive and difficult to buy.
