 Hawaiian Punch                                                                                                Fruit Loops

In 1934, A.W. Leo, Tom Yates, and Ralph Harrison developed the first Hawaiian Punch recipe in a converted garage in Fullerton, California. They wanted a tropical-tasting syrup to add to their line of ice cream toppings sold under the trade name Pacific Citrus Products Company. "Leo's Hawaiian Punch," as the brand was called at the time, was sold to area restaurants, soda fountains, and ice cream manufacturers. The "Leo's" was dropped from Hawaiian Punch several years later. The main ingredients of the first Hawaiian Punch recipe were shipped from the Hawaiian Islands, thus the origin of the name. The U.S. Patent Office gave Leo's Hawaiian Punch its trademark on June 9, 1938.

Kellogg's introduced Froot Loops in 1963. Originally, there were only red, orange and yellow loops; green, blue and purple loops were added during the 1990s, with blue being introduced last in 1996.

Bubble Gum

 Andes Mints

Bubble gum was invented in 1928 by Walter Diemer, an accountant at Fleer Chewing Gum Company in Philadelphia. Diemer was experimenting with gum formulas when he accidentally created a super-stretchy, bubble-blowing gum.

Andes Mints were first launched in 1950. They are a classic chocolate candy, known for their thin, individually wrapped, green foil-covered chocolate mints. The candy was created by Andrew Kanelos, who named the company Andes Candies after the famous mountain range. The mints were initially offered at a low price, often matching the customer's change at the cash register.
