The French and Indian war was a conflict between the French and the British about owning territory in North America. The British won the war. This is significant to US History because the British gained debt from the war, causing them to tax the Colonists, which caused the colonists to rebel, and eventually start the American Revolution.

-A group of colonists that was part of the non-importation movement by reducing their consumption of imported goods. They made cloths, spun yarn, made textiles and ate/drank from locally sourced goods only so they didn’t give the British money by buying imported goods.

-The AoC was the first U.S. constitution and the main goal of this document was to protect the citizens from being abused by the government. The AoC is significant because the flaws in this document led to the current U.S. Constitution.

-The constitution strengthens the power of the executive branch and U.S. government. The U.S. government is able to use the army to squash rebellions. (George Washington personally led the army to squash Whiskey Rebellion)
-Congress collects taxes which allows the government to have money. This would have prevented Shay’s Rebellion because the government would have been able to help the farmers.

The Treaty of Easton was passed between the British and Native Americans promising that White settlers will stop settling on Native American lands. When the White settlers ignored the treaty, the Native Americans rebelled. In an effort to end the rebellions the British passed the Proclamation of 1763 to stop Europeans from settling on Native lands, and end the Native Americans from rebelling
