Benjamin Franklin, through his sophisticated and charmful nature (he was quite hot ngl, that might have something to do with it), and the American victory at Saratoga helped to push the French and Spanish to declare war on the British.

A planned military coup after the end of the Rev. War because of little rations given to the army. It showed the leadership of Washington to break it off and hand power to civilians.

What was the Treaty of Fort Stanwix? 

A treaty in 1784 between a part of the Iroquois and the U.S. government that sought to end violent battles in the "West". Many Indian leaders rejected it, such as Joseph Brant, which led to the creation of an Indian confederation that resisted and eventually negotiated to their advantage with the United States.
