Students earn this by following the School-Wide Behavior System
What is Honey Money?
This will be used at 'The Hive' and 'The Hive Cart'. The Hive is held once every quarter.
The Hive Cart is once a month
Students bring these 3 things to and from school daily
What are yellow B.E.E folder, planner, and homework journal?
Students earn these types of grades this year:
S/N, or Letter Grades
What are letter grades?
A: 90-100%
B: 80-89%
C: 70-79%
D: 60-69%
F: 0-59%
The Phonics Program we use daily
What is UFLI?
Students will have a list of sample words based on the patterns of the week to review at home.
There are no longer traditional, rote memorization spelling tests.
The goal is for students to know and apply the phonics pattern and not necessarily memorize words.
Phonics assessments will be given every other week and will assess the skill/pattern not a list.
Types of shoes students should wear daily
What are closed toe shoes?
Even when we do not have PE, we have recess daily
The time the first bell and second (tardy) bell ring in the morning
What are 7:40am(first bell) and 7:50am(tardy bell)?
Way we manage/track daily behavior in the classroom
What is a clip chart?
green + higher all week, students will participate in Fun Friday. will write a note if any issues
pink-outstanding(students get a prize)

What are 2nd Grade Benchmarks assessments, High Frequency(sight words-66 words), Oral Reading Fluency(ORF-100wpm)?
All data will be gone over at parent teacher conferences.

Nightly homework consists of this
What are 2 nights of ufli/spelling homework, 2 nights of writing prompt, math page nightly, and read every night?
True or False: I can eat with my child starting 9/2 at our designated lunch time of 11:45am-12:15pm
