No. You just want to introduce your supporting points and then inform them of the evidence in the BPs. You want your intro to be clean and to the point because it is the backbone of your essay.

50

What should you include in a summarize the connection? Should you just restate your supporting point?

Do not just restate the supporting point. You have to include the evidence that backs up your supporting point. Basically, restate the support point and summarize the evidence.

You should NEVER just say the counterclaim is wrong. Ever. Show no bias. Use logic. Be objective.

Transition, restate your claim, use text evidence to support your claim, elaborate on the text evidence so you can explain why it’s a stronger point than the counterclaim.

At the end of the line (This applies to EVERY CATEGORY). What is the biggest flaw that can be found in an essay? Hint: this flaw or mistake can be seen in every single part of an AE essay. This is a high-level question and the team to get it right will be given 100 points!

Repetition. We should never, NEVER be repeating ourselves. If you used an elaboration, don’t just copy it for the next quote. If you said something, don’t say the same thing in the next sentence.
