Virtues 1
The virtue by which we believe in God and believe all that he has said and revealed to us.
What is faith?
These virtues are human virtues, acquired by education and good actions.
What are cardinal virtues?
An outward sign instituted by Christ to give grace.
What is a sacrament?
It is a sacrificial offering that is an unbloody re-presentation of Calvary.
What is Mass?
Praying with scriptures.
What is Lectio Divina?
These come from God and lead to God.
What are theological virtues?
This virtue is courage and the firmness of will to do good in the face of obstacles and adversity.
It looks like resisting temptation and doing the right thing.
What is fortitude?
The sacrament that makes us children of God.
What is Baptism?
The central act of worship in the life of the Church.
What is Mass?
Mediating on life of Mary and Jesus.
What is the rosary?
Dispositions and habits that guide our decision making and action steps to the positive.
What are virtues?
The constant and firm will to give what is due to God and neighbor.
What is justice?
We should receive it once a year.
We do not receive it if we have unconfessed mortal sin.
We receive it daily if possible.
What does the Church say about recieveing Holy Communion?
The three degrees of holy orders.
What are bishops, priests, and deacons?
Daily public prayer of the church.
What is Liturgy of the Hours?
The virtue by which we desire the kingdom of heaven and eternal life as our happiness, placing our trust in Christ's promises.
What is hope?
Moderation and self restraint in the pursuit of pleasure and use of material goods.
What is temperance?
The Holy Spirit came to the disciples in the form of wind and fire.
What is Confirmation?
It is when the substance of bread and wine is changed into Christ's body and blood.
What is transubstantiation?
Contemplative prayer in front of the Blessed Sacrament.
What is adoration?
The virtue by which we love God above all things for his own sake, and our neighbor as ourselves for the love of God.
What is charity?
The ability to use to use reason to make good choices and act rightly.
It is right reason in action.
What is prudence?
It is a grave matter.
There is full knowledge.
There is deliberate consent.
What are the three ingredients of mortal sin?
The moment when transubstantiation occurs.
What is consecration?
Forgiveness of the punishment for past sins in the after life.
What is an indulgence?
