What are check, call, and care?
When blood is spurting from a wound.

For small cuts and scratches, do this first.

Check the victim's injuries for these.

When someone's heart had stopped.
What is a heart attack or sudden cardiac arrest?
No breath? Open the airway and begin these.
What are rescue breaths?
Weakness, pale face, cold and clammy, possible vomit.
What are symptoms of shock?
Run a first degree burn under this.
What is cold water?
Never do this to an injured person unless absolutely necessary.
What is move them?
When the respiratory system isn't working.
What is stopped breathing?
Do these two things when someone has inhaled toxic fumes.
What is call 911 and move them to fresh air?
Try these second for choking, going inward and upward.
What are abdominal thrusts?
Charred flesh? Do this!

Tell the operator these three W's when calling 911.

A blockage of blood flow to the brain.

Apply pressure to the wound in order to do this.

For shock, lay the victim on this part of their body.
