Frida honored her Mexican heritage in a variety of ways. She wore traditional Mexican clothing, specifically dresses, called Tehuana dresses and showcased indigenous culture through her style. She also was part of the Mexicanidad movement, which aimed to revive pride and traditions within Mexican society. Lastly, she decorated her home with indigenous artifacts, some dating back to the Pre-Columbian era.
