Belief in Allah
Belief that Allah is the One God, Creator, and Sustainer, with no partners.
Sa‘i
Sa‘i is walking seven times between the hills of Safa and Marwah during Hajj or Umrah.
Tawaf
Tawaf is circling the Ka‘bah seven times during Hajj or Umrah.
Angel Jibril
Jibril is the angel who brought revelation from Allah to the prophets.
Tawhid
Tawhid is the belief in the absolute Oneness of Allah.
Belief in angels
It is the belief that angels are created from light and obey Allah’s commands.
Ka‘bah
The Ka‘bah is the sacred House of Allah in Makkah, the direction of Muslim prayer (qiblah).
Salah
Salah is the obligatory five daily prayers performed by Muslims.
Belief in revealed books
It means believing in the scriptures Allah sent to guide mankind.
Belief in messengers
The belief that Allah sent prophets to guide humanity with His message.
Muhammad (peace be upon him)
He is the final messenger of Allah and the Seal of the Prophets.
Sadaqah
Sadaqah is voluntary charity given beyond the obligatory Zakah.
Ihram
Ihram is the sacred state and clothing worn by pilgrims during Hajj or Umrah.
Qur’an
The Qur’an is the final preserved revelation of Allah given to Prophet Muhammad.
Belief in the Day of Judgment
The belief that all people will be resurrected and judged by Allah for their deeds.
Resurrection
Resurrection is the return of all people to life after death for judgment.
Shahadah
The testimony of faith that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is His Messenger.
Zakah
Zakah is the obligatory charity given to purify wealth and support the needy.
Rasul
Rasul is a messenger chosen by Allah to deliver His revelation.
Jannah
Jannah is the eternal paradise prepared by Allah for the righteous believers.
Belief in Al-Qadr
Belief that everything happens according to Allah’s will, knowledge, and decree.
Hajj
Hajj is the pilgrimage to Makkah performed once in a lifetime by able Muslims.
Sawm
Sawm means fasting during Ramadan by abstaining from food, drink, and sins from dawn to sunset.
Jahannam
Jahannam is the eternal hellfire prepared by Allah for the disbelievers and sinners.
