  • First shift: Sit with campers for 25-30 minutes while they eat lunch and have sit-down activities available.

  • Second shift: Interact and engage with campers during “recess” - hilltop duty, playing soccer, pushing younger campers on the swings

  • All: The counselor on duty must have roster on hand for head count

(If you need an extra set of eyes, invite another camper, counselor, or CIT to accompany you when bringing a camper from the playground to the bathroom. Walkie the Camp Manager, floater, or Director of Programming if you need to take a camper to the cool down space - leave door open until a third set of eyes arrives)

  • Offer help and listen to their needs

  • Respect different teaching styles

  • Reach out to Alan or Marisa if you have an issue

Counselors for each camp. Supply lists are in each backpack. First Aid supplies are in the main office.

In the event of an incident or accident, what kind of paperwork should be filled out for the parent/guardian to read, who should fill it out, and where does it go?

An incident report filled out by either the counselor/CIT who witnessed it or the staff member who it was first reported to. Other staff members who have additional context should be consulted in writing the report. The report can be given to the Camp Manager, Director of Programming, or the Office Manager.
