Deaf Culture Fun Facts
Individuals in the Deaf community have made the MOST changes to and have influenced how things are done in this sport more than any other group.
AMERICAN FOOTBALL
One boy who stopped in during our 'Food & Drinks' lesson was close to being violently brought to the floor by Sophie for repeatedly stealing this snack from her.

This year was plagued with dried up dry erase marker issues. But, this one marker color rarely failed us.

At social events or family gatherings, Deaf individuals usually gather in this room in the house because It's easier to communicate with everyone.
KITCHEN

Olivia has a way with words. Like how she called these two people in our class 'big toes'.
COOPER & CONNOR
Juliette Gordon Low, a Deaf woman, was the founder of this famous organization is the US. I guarantee you know who they are and have bought something from them in public, or in your neighborhood.

Out of everyone in our class, this person was more opposed to our fruit snack days than anyone. Where did this sour attitude come from.
CONNOR
The longest Deaf reoccurring role was on this childhood television show which still airs to this day. Linda Bove played a Deaf librarian from 1971 - 2002. She introduced many hearing and deaf children to ASL and the Deaf community.
SESAME STREET
Each person had a rough time with certain signs and categories. For Connor, bowl related signs were a struggle. These two in particular proved to be the hardest to learn.

Mr. Kiefer's company, Visually Speaking, and the Pathway ASL 1 class was featured in three different publications. All three in these states.
