How much is their entire Social Security Income minus a $170 personal needs allowance. No matter what a PPT's income is, the entirety minus this amount go to a facility.
The educational requirements to operate an Assisted Living in the State of Colorado
What is a high school diploma/equivalent and the 40 hour Administrator Course through Colorado Living Association and test. (This individual must be at least 21 years old. Each year they must then renew the building's license with the state each year. This is required to operate the building only- not to own it.)
For an Assisted Living to accept direct Medicaid they must have 1 staff member for every 9 Residents and be subjected to Colorado Department of Public Health and Environments audits annually. However there is an alternative to these requirements.
What is a PACE Program Partner? (through this a PACE Program acts as the conduit for the Medicaid monies and therefore act as the auditors that CDPHE employees would)

What is Secure.
______ is the process of a facility charging a Resident the full cost of the room for a determined amount of time before they business accepts the lower reimbursement Medicaid rate. The time is determined by each facility themselves and not subject to any sort of regulation or even required.
What is "Spendown" Rather than evicting an individual after they have spent down all of their savings at the facility, our partners have elected to work with InnovAge to allow these individuals to stay in their home.
This is the only certified staffing requirement of an ALF in the state of Colorado
What is a Qualified Medication Administration Person. It is expected that as facilities admit more complex individuals an LPN would be expected to treat certain needs. Specific staff members to provide Activities, Admissions, cook meals, housekeeping and beyond are not a standard requirement.
Unless otherwise allowed by statute, the assisted living residence shall not permit a qualified medication administration person to perform any of the following tasks: (A) Intravenous, intramuscular, or subcutaneous injections; (B) Gastrostomy or jejunostomy tube feeding; (C) Chemical debridement; (D) Administration of medication for purposes of restraint; (E) Titration of oxygen; (F) Decision making regarding PRN or “as needed” medication administration; (G) Assessment of residents or use of judgment including, but not limited to, medication effect; (H) Pre-pouring of medication; or (I) Masking or deceiving administration of medication including, but not limited to, concealing in food or liquid
Who meets an InnovAge PPT's needs in these categories if an ALF does not have an LPN on staff?

What are House Rules. These can be subject to corporate or individual policy. *Bonus: of the 21 ALFs/PCBHs contracted for the THN catchment how many allow Tobacco Smoking? Pets? Both?
