What is the order of the layers of the atmosphere
troposphere stratosphere mesosphere thermosphere divided into ionosphere and exosphere
100
The energy that is transfered waves or rays
radiation
100
What is the example of mac and cheese in a boiling pot that comes to the top and floats to the bottom.
convetion
100
What are major sources of smog
Major sources for smog is burning fossil fuels and exhaust from factories, machines, and vehicles like cars motorcycles and busses.
100
What is the ozone layer?
the ozone layer contains high concentrations of ozone and shields you from the Sun’s harmful energy UV rays
200
In what layer are the satellites are located
exosphere
200
What is the hydrosphere
A term that describes all the water of Earth
200
What type of heat transfer describes the sun heating up the Earth
radiation
200
What are the effects of global warming
The effects of Global Warming are the icebergs are melting, oceans are rising, animals going extinct, and earth temperature rising.
200
What is the difference between oxygen that we breathe and ozone?
An ozone molecule is made up of three oxygen atoms bound together. However, an oxygen molecule is made up of two oxygen atoms bound together
300
Where is the aurora borealis
They are in the ionosphere
300
what is ultraviolet radiation
one of the many types of energy that comes to Earth from to sun
300
What is conduction and what are some examples?
conduction: the transfer of heat that occur when molecules bump into each other. DIRECT CONTACT examples of conduction: touching a hot handle spoon heating inside cup of tea popping popcorn in a pot
300
What are CFC’s and how do they affect the ozone layer?
CFC’s (chlorofluorocarbons) affect the ozone layer because chlorofluorocarbon molecules destroy the ozone. When a chlorine atom from a CFC (chlorofluorocarbon) molecule comes near a molecule of ozone, the ozone molecule breaks apart. This is causing a huge problem and global warming is starting to happen.

(Fun question) What is my teddy bears name
teddy
400
Where are Jet streams found
In the top of the troposphere
400
what are chlorofluorocarbons
chemical compounds used in some refrigerators, air conditioners and aerosol sprays and in the production of some foam packaging.
400
What is convection?
convection: energy transfer through movement/flow of material (in gases and liquids)
400
Why is ozone important for life on Earth? Where is it found and how is it formed? How is human activity influencing this important atmospheric gas?
The ozone is important for life on Earth because it protects us from the sun’s blinding UV radiation The ozone layer is found in the stratosphere of the atmosphere Human activity is influencing this important atmospheric gas because when we burn fossil fuels and exhaust from vehicles, factories and machines, it is hurting the ozone layer
400
What is my favorite holiday?
valentines day
500
describe each layer of the atmosphere
TROPOSPHERE: closest layer to the earth where the weather occurs temperature decreases as altitude increases because it is heated by Earth’s surface 90% of the atmosphere’s mass STRATOSPHERE: STRATOSPHERE- extends from 10 km to 50 km above the ground almost all the ozone (including ozone layer) in this layer as altitude increases temperature increases because UV rays are absorbed by ozone MESOSPHERE- extends to almost 80 km high temperature decreases as altitude increases coldest layer this is the layer where meteors burn THERMOSPHERE: THERMOSPHERE- (include ionosphere) above the mesosphere and extends to almost 600 km high as altitude increase, temperature increases because oxygen and nitrogen absorb solar radiation temperature can go as high and 1,500 degrees C Reflects radio waves EXOSPHERE- Artificial satellites orbit here upper part of the Thermosphere
500
what is condensation
the process of water vapor changing into a liquid
500
what is conduction?
conduction: the transfer of heat that occur when molecules bump into each other. DIRECT CONTACT
500
How does the atmosphere benefit Earth?
The atmosphere benefits the Earth by the fact that it: -absorbs the energy from the sun -recycles water and other chemicals -protects us from high-energy radiation and the frigid vacuum of space -The atmosphere protects and supports life

What is my favorite color
PINK!!!
