How Connecting to a Device After Accessing the Tool (https://diagnostics.apple.com)

1. Enter the serial number or IMEI from the customer's device:
   • Found on the device at Settings > General > About
2. Have the customer:
   • Navigate to Settings on the device and select Privacy.
   • Once the customer is in the Privacy section, they scroll down and select Analytics and Improvements:
     • If the customer is using an older version of iOS, they select Diagnostics & Usage.
   • Select Analytics Data
   • Select Start Diagnostics with Apple Support
   • Read through the Terms and Conditions and select Agree, located in the bottom-right side of the screen.
   • Select Agree, and the device goes into diagnostic mode:
     • The customer's device displays waiting until the representative initiates the diagnostic test.
3. If the customer has an Apple Watch attached to the device, they would select the device from the Devices screen:
   • They can select Start, located in the upper-right side of the screen to proceed to the Diagnostic/Troubleshooting screen
