What are the Negotiable Items? Where are Negotiable Items Stored?
Cashier Checks, Money Orders, ATM Cards, Gift Cards, and Pre-Paid Cards are Negotiable Items. All items need to be locked in the vault/locked vault room every night. Only a working supply of Cashier’s Checks and Money Orders can be brought out of the vault each day and returned to the vault at closing.

All cards must be entered in the Lotus Notes database titled "ATM Capture on Notes2" and destroyed in accordance to procedures. Branch associates should update the database to reflect the status of the card.

At least twice a day.
What is the opening procedure for stand alone branches? How many people have to be present to access the building?
Two employees must be present to open the branch and follow the below steps:
1. The first employee will drive around the building (where possible) surveying the area.
2. If all is clear the first employee will enter the office while the second employee remains in their vehicle.
3. The first employee will inspect inside the building, restrooms, closets, under desks, etc.
4. If it is cleared, the first employee will set the “all clear” sign.
5. The second employee may enter the building once the all clear signal is set.
a. Employees with branch issued keys should let themselves into the branch.
b. Once an employee has entered the building, they should not leave until the branch is open or for an emergency.
Note: If the all clear signal is not observed or is not correct, the second employee should leave the area and call local law enforcement.
